Kundra was questioned in connection with a Rs 2000-crore Bitcoin scam that ED is probing. His name came up when Amit Bharadwaj, an accused in the case, was being questioned.

In May, the cyber cell of Chandigarh police booked six people, including Bhardwaj, who was arrested from Delhi by the Pune police in April in connection with an alleged multi-crore bitcoin Ponzi scheme.

Bhardwaj, director of Gainbitcoin, was charged with duping investors after promising them handsome returns on investing in bitcoin. Bhardwaj allegedly duped more than 8,000 people to the tune of Rs 2,000 crore from across the country.

The Income Tax Department had recently sent notices to bitcoin users who were dealing in bitcoins worth Rs 1 crore or more daily.

It is not yet confirmed if Kundra is being questioned for his role in the alleged fraud or he was just one of the investors duped by Bhardwaj.

Well, this is not the first time, when Raj has found himself in trouble. He was previously embroiled in the infamous IPL betting scandal. He is serving a life ban from all cricket-related activities. In March, Kundra did file a petition in Supreme Court challenging the ban.
