For example, it had become common knowledge that Madhuri Dixit was in a relationship with Sanjay Dutt. But now her ex-manager Rikku Rakesh Nath who worked with the actor for 28 long years has said that Madhuri’s scandals involving Jackie Shroff, Mithun Chakraborty and Sanjay Dutt were created by her producers.

“Madhuri’s affairs with Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff were fabricated. It was business strategy,” he wrote.

“If she was doing four films with Anil, till the time their romance story didn’t come out, the film would not be hot and saleable.”

As per Rikku Rakesh Nath, when Anil Kapoor was told that the ‘Abodh’ actress Madhuri would be cast opposite him in Teezab he said, “She looks good, but doesn’t look like a cabaret dancer.” However Madhuri auditioned for that role and passed with flying colors. The rest is history.

“Some scandals were created with Mithun and Jackie (Shroff) and even with Sanjay Dutt. All this was business strategy. Her name has been linked with Sanjay Dutt a lot because in those days she was doing 5, 6 films with him. Most of them became hits.”

From 1987-1993, she did nine films with Sanjay which included Zameen (1987), Khatron Ke Khiladi (1988), Kanoon Apna Apna (1989), Ilaaka (1989), Thanedaar (1990), Saajan (1991), Khalnayak (1993), Sahibaan (1993) and Jai Devaa (1993).

When Rajkumar Hirani announced of making a biopic on Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri dixit made many headlines. Rumours were also doing the rounds that the 50-year-old actress made calls to the filmmaker to remove her mention from the film.  However when asked from the actress, she said, “For where I am today, this [the topic of Dutt] has become redundant. Life has come a long way since then. I don’t know where these reports are coming from. In any case, it doesn’t make a difference to me.”

On the professional front, Madhuri Dixit is ‘soon’ to do a comeback on the silver screen. She was last seen in “Dedh Ishqiya” and “Gulaab Gang” in 2014.
