Film producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, who is married to actress Vidya Balan, is stepping down as the Managing Director of the Walt Disney Company India to ‘explore his own business interests’.
Starting January 2017, Siddharth has moved on from Disney to set up his own production house, Roy Kapur Films, which will produce movies and digital video content across all scales and genres.

And now Siddharth Roy Kapur has teamed up with “Dangal” star Aamir Khan and Ronnie Screwvala for Salute, a biopic of Rakesh Sharma- India’s first astronaut. The venture will be jointly produced by Aamir, Siddharth and Ronnie under their banners AKP, RSVP and Roy Kapur Films respectively.

The film will be directed by Mahesh Mathai. The actor has earlier worked with producers in films including “Rang De Basanti”, “Delhi Belly”, “PK” and “Dangal”.
