In the wake of #MeeToo, prominent singer-composer Anu Malik has been accused of sexual harassment by singers Sona Mohapatra and Shweta Pandit.

After these allegations, Anu Malik was asked to leave the last season of Indian Idol mid-way.

And now, Anu is all set to make comeback as a judge on a singing reality show. But this didn’t seem to go down well with Mohapatra as she took to Twitter once again to hit back at Malik for his statement.

The singer tagged the channel and the producers to remind them of all the accusations against Malik. Sona shared the links of the news items with the horror stories of women who accused Malik of sexual harassment in the past and asked the makers of the show to rethink their decision.


She then wrote, “One more ‘reason’ & the number of them is quite large Mr. Anu Malik. Do take note, producers of
@superstarsinge  @SonyLIV , your show hosting him is supposed to be aimed at kids between 2 & 15 yrs?  “Singer Shweta Pandit calls Anu Malik a paedophile” 

Alleging that Anu Malik even misbehaved with children, Sona Mohapatra last year tweeted, “To all the young girls and women who are coming out with their experiences with this creep, journalists, ‘fans’ and even kids from college, know that you are not alone. This guy, #KailashKher is a serial predator and has been for years as are many others like Anu Malik in the industry. I cannot be tweeting about everyone cus I work 18 hour work days & have a life to live & breathe in.”

Anu Malik had denied the allegations and his lawyer told the media, “India’s #MeToo movement” is being used for his client’s “character assassination”.

Not only Malik but several popular names from the Bollywood Industry had popped up last year when the wave of MeToo movement got momentum in the country.
