‘Pro Kabbadi’ anchor Sonika Chauhan’s death shook all the fans and the Telly world. She died when she was travelling with friend, actor Vikram Chatterjee in his car in the wee hours of April 29.
It turned out that the high speed and Vikram’s alcohol consumption turned out fatal for Sonika, which resulted in losing her life in the accident.
According to reports, Police have finally slapped the stringent ‘culpable homicide’ charge against actor Vikram Chatterjee for the death of model.

“Chatterjee has been charged under Section 304 of the IPC on Tuesday after police received a forensic report that shows the speed of the car was between 95 to 115 km per hour a few seconds before the accident,” said Kolkata police’s Joint Commissioner, Crime, Vishal Garg.
“The f section was slapped after we found conclusive evidence that he had knowledge of what he was doing,” he reported.
The charge can get Vikram a maximum of ten years in prison.
The actor was previously charged with rash driving (Section 279 of the Indian Penal Code) and causing death by negligence (Section 304A) after the accident, police said.
Also, the report suggests that Sonika’s family and friends were striving hard to seek justice for her death and now they are relieved with police’s move.
Sonika, a top city model, had been a part of many memorable ad shoots and had recently made a name for herself as emcee and sports anchor.
Sonika was a popular face in the modeling industry and was also an anchor in Pro Kabbadi League. Apart from sports anchoring, Sonika was also a VJ on channel V.
