Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is one of the much-awaited film of the year. The film is slated to release next week.
Ahead of the release, a special screening of the film will be hosted for President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Friday.
The screening will be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre and will be attended by the whole team of the film.
Special screening of Kangana Ranaut’s film
Kangana, who plays the lead role of Rani Lakshmi Bai in the film, said she and the entire team of ‘Manikarnika’ is looking forward to the special screening. “Our entire team is really looking forward to present Manikarnika, a story about Rani Lakshmi Bai’s strength and bravery, to the most important entity – the President of our country,” she said.
The film is based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi and her war against the British East India Company, during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
The film will star Ankita Lokhande as a Maratha soldier Jhalkarbai, Atul Kulkarni will be seen as Tatya Tope and Danny Dengzopa as Ghulam Ghaus Khan.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Kangana Ranaut, the film is slated to release on January 25, 2019.
