SRK sends help to the man’s family who died during ‘Raees’ promotions

Shah Rukh Khan was on a train journey from Mumbai to Delhi to promote his film Raees.  He was on-board August Kranti Express, which crossed stations namely Vapi, Surat, Vadodara. Unfortunately, tragedy struck at Vadodara station after a near-stampede broke out and caused casualties.

The fans gathered at the station, to catch a glimpse of the superstar, were in a huge uncontrollable number. Police had to resort to lathi charge at a point to disperse and gain control over the massive crowd.

Social activist Farid Khan Pathan of Hatikhana area of Vadodara, who arrived at the railway platform with his wife and daughter as the family was an avid follower of the actor, fell unconscious after suffering a cardiac arrest at the railway platform. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, his family members confirmed.

MissKyra team exclusively spoke to journalist Samina Shaikh whose uncle lost his life in Vadodara stampede incident. She revealed “When I narrated the incident to Shah Rukh, he was in tears as he could genuinely feel the pain that I and my family were going through. Apart from making arrangements for me and my mother from Ratlam to Vadodara, he also made arrangements for my relatives who flew in from Mumbai to Vadodara to attend my uncle’s last rites. Though SRK was busy with his film’s promotions in Delhi event, he even made sure to know about my family and provided whatever help possible. “
