Bollywood actress Sujata Kumar who played the role of Sridevi’s sister in the film ‘English Vinglish’ has passes away on August 19 after battling stage four cancer. She was 53.
Her sister and actor Suchitra Krishnamoorthi shared this sad news on her social media account. She wrote, “Our beloved Sujata Kumar has passed away and moved on to a better place leaving us with an umimaginable void. She left us an hour ago at 11.26 pm on the 19th of august 2018..Life can never be the same again …”
The actress was cremated in Vile Parle and her last rites were conducted by the later actor’s sister Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and daughter Kritika.

According to reports, Sujata was down with metastatic cancer. She was in a fourth stage and was admitted in Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital. Her condition deteriorated and it was reported that she had multiple organ failure.
Sujata has worked in a couple of other Bollywood films like Gori Tere Pyar Mein, Salaam-E-Ishq and Raanjhanaa. She also appeared in TV commercials.
