On Thursday, Bollywood actress Sunny Leone reaches Kochi for the inauguration of a mobile phone store. The event was held at MG road where crowds of people gathered to get a glimpse of Leone.
Reportedly, people began gathering at the venue as early as 8am, leading to major traffic snarls during peak hours. After which, Police faced difficulties in managing the huge crowd.
Sunny was overwhelmed by the “sea of love” and posted several photos and videos on her Twitter account. Incidentally, she also thanked the Kochi police for making her feel safe among the horde of fans.

Now, the store owner and 100 others have been booked by the police for blocking traffic in the city for hours. They were booked under IPC sections 283 (obstruction in public way) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), police said.
It is also reported that the crowds caused much damage to property, while buses were climbed on top of to get an aerial view, two-wheelers were damaged by the crowds on the street. The barricades put up by the Kochi Metro as a part of the beautification process were uprooted.
