The original Bappi Lahiri composition was released in 1989 as a hit song of “Thanedaar”. The song featured Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and the classic 80’s disco theme.

Featuring Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan the song highlights their rocking chemistry along. Both the actors are good dancers and the moves are impressive. The song has been recreated by Tanishk Bagchi, who has earlier recreated Humma Humma for “OK Jaanu”.

While the original song had a stage setting to it, this new version is more the club types. Varun and Alia do a good job performing the signature steps from the original song, even copying some of Sanjay and Madhuri’s styles and even do the new steps well.

The second film in the Dulhania franchise, “Badrinath Ki Dulhania” also stars Mohit Marwah, Gauahar Khan, Shweta Prasad Basu among others and is directed by Shashank Khaitan. The film is slated to release on March 10.
