Finally! The much-awaited trailer of The Tashkent Files has been released. The suspense thriller is based on the mysterious death of our former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.

The trailer takes us back to 1960s when the former Indian Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri passed away just hours after signing the Tashkent agreement. While it is said that Shashtri died due to a heart attack many of his supporters and family members believe that his death was a conspiracy and a planned murder. 

The trailer revolves around the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of the late Prime Minister’s death, where the reason for his demise till date is unknown.

The film will stars Naseeruddin Shah as PKR Natrajan, Pallavi Joshi as Aiysha Ali Shah, Pankaj Tripathi as Gangaram Jha, Shweta Basu Prasad as Raagini Phule, Mithun Chakraborty as Shyam Sundar Tripathi, Vinay Pathak, Mandira Bedi, Ankur Rathee and Prakash Belawadi.

Written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, produced by Pranay Chokshi, Haresh Patel, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek, the movie is slated to release on 12 April.
