And the wait has finally come to an end! We finally have the first picture of newlyweds Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh looking like a match made in heaven on their wedding. The wedding was done as per the Konkani rituals and the Sindhi rituals. We love how the two have blended so well in each other’s customs and traditions.
For the Sindhi rituals, Deepika chose red lehnga, while Ranveer opted for a red sherwani with a matching safa. Take a look:
As per the reports, dulhe raja Ranveer with all the Band Baaja Baaraat entered the venue for his Sindhi wedding with Deepika in a seaplane. And as per the Sindhi customs, Ranveer’s friends too teared his shirt. Deepika and Ranveer hosted their pre-wedding ceremonies including mehendi and sangeet on November 13, 2018, and Ranveer too applied henna on his hands with #DeepVeer written! The mobile cameras of the staff and guests have been sealed with stickers, lest fearing the leakage of any off-guard pictures. And according to the reports, the couple has spent almost Rs 1 crore on security for the week!
The wedding, held at the Villa del Balbianello on Lake Como in Italy, was an extremely private affair with family and close friends attending – combined, the ladkiwale and ladkewale added upto 45 only. Deepika’s parents Ujwala and Prakash Padukone and sister Anisha led the ladkiwale – Anisha even updated her Instagram bio to reflect this – and the baaraat included Ranveer Singh’s parents and sister Ritika.
