Bollywood actress and BJP MP Hema Malini’s warehouse here has been robbed. A robbery of Rs. 90,000 has taken place at veteran actress Andheri godown.
The actress used this space to keep her costumes, props, artificial jewellery and other shoot items used in dance shows and shoots. The Juhu police is investigating the case and suspected Hema Malini’s domestic help to be involved in the robbery.
He was responsible from cleaning the godown and has been missing from work from the past five days. The suspect has switched off his phone. The actress said, “”Right now I do not want to comment as it was done by our own staff. The items stolen were used in shoots and shows.”

Hema’s manager has already filed a police complaint at Juhu Police station ever since they noticed that the belongings had gone missing, they have been trying to reach the domestic help but his phone is unreachable. In a statement to a leading daily, a police official said, “That’s when he found that a few antique statues, props used in the stage shows, imitation jewellery and a few clothes have gone missing. The suspect has been working with her for a long time.”
ACP Dattatray Bhargude in an interview to Mumbai Mirror said “A theft case has been registered and we are tracking down the accused.”
This is not the first time, Hema Malini’s domestic help has stolen her belongings. Back in 2010, cash and jewellery worth Rs 80 lakh was stolen from Hema Malini’s Goregaon bungalow.
