Bollywood film industry may be all about films, talent etc but one thing we cannot deny is the importance of looks or on-screen appearance of the lead actors and actresses. The age has taken a toll and they look totally different from they looked when they were just teenagers who debuted in the Bollywood industry. Whatever may be the case, each of these actress don’t look like how they used to anymore. 1. Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit who is known as the ‘Dancing Diva’ or ‘Dhak Dhak girl’ of Bollywood. She is regarded widely as one of Bollywood’s best superstar-actresses. She made her acting debut with the film Abodh in 1984 but earned fame with the movie Tezaab in 1988. She has acted in approximately more than 66 films. She has been the judge for Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Seasons 4, 5, 6 and 7. Currently, she is seen judging reality show, Dance Deewane.

2. Farah Naaz 

Farah Naaz made her debut in “Faasle” in 1985 under the Yash Chopra films banner. She was one of the prominent actresses in Bollywood in the late eighties and early nineties. Farha’s landmark films were Naseeb Apna Apna (1986), Imaandaar (1987), Hamara Khandaan (1987), Naqab (1989), Yateem(1988), etc. She retired from acting in 1996 after her first marriage, though later did some television serials.

3. Shilpa Shirodkar

Shilpa Shirodkar is an Indian actress and former photo model who was active in Bollywood films from 1989 to 2000. After a 13-year hiatus from acting, she made her comeback to acting, with Zee TV series Ek Mutthi Aasmaan in 2013. The series ended in late 2014. Her second television serial Silsila Pyar Ka started airing on Star Plus on January 4, 2016. Currently she is appearing in the serial Savitri Devi College & Hospital.

4. Bhagyashree

Bhagyashreeis an Indian actress. She is best known for her debut lead role in the film Maine Pyar Kiya, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She has appeared in Hindi and a few Kannada, Marathi, Telugu and some Bhojpuri films.

5. Mahima Chaudhary

Mahima Chaudhary had a great film career, where she justified herself well. Even with films such as ‘Pardes’ (1997), ‘Dhadkan’ (2000) and ‘Lajja’ (2001) to her credit but has been unable to make a name for herself. Mahima acted with all the big banners in the film industry but didn’t get a chance to prove her acting prowess and is now nowhere to be seen.

6. Pooja Bhatt

Pooja Bhatt is an indian film director, actress, voice over artist, model and film maker. She is the eldest child of Indian film director, Mahesh Bhatt. She made her acting debut at age 17, in 1989 with Daddy. Her most well-known films are Sadak, Junoon, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin, Sir, etc. Her last film appearance was in Everybody Says I’m Fine! in 2001. She made her directorial debut with Paap. Since then, she has made four more directorial ventures: HolidayDhokhaKajraare and Jism 2.

7. Amrita Singh

Amrita Singh made her Bollywood debut in 1983 with Betaab, an immensely successful film. This was quickly followed by a succession of hits, such as Sunny, Mard, Saaheb, Chameli Ki Shaadi and Naam. But, these successes did not dissuade her from her resolve to retire into family life and she quit acting after her appearance in the 1993 film Rang.

8. Rekha

Rekha is noted for her versatility and acknowledged as one of the finest actresses in Indian cinema. She started her career in 1966 as a child actress in the Telugu film Rangula Ratnam, though her film debut as a lead happened four years later with Sawan Bhadon. Despite the success of several of her early films, she was often panned for her looks and it was not until the mid-to-late 1970s that she got recognition as an actress. Rekha has acted in over 180 films in her career spanning over 50 years.

9. Manisha Koirala

Manisha Koirala is mainly appears in Hindi films, though she has worked in several South Indian and Nepali films. She was one of the highest paid actresses in the 1990s. She is amongst the few actresses who made a balance between commercial cinema and parallel cinema (art-house films). Koirala not only was popular for her acting skills but was known for her beauty, and is often called the ‘most beautiful actress of her time’.

10. Mayuri Kango

Remember light-eyed beauty Mayoori Kango from the film ‘Papa Kahte Hain’? Well, the former actress is now based in the Millennium City. She has been missing from bollywood. The last time she appeared in the 2009 film “Kurbaan”. Since then she has neither seen in any Bollywood party or function nor in any film event. Actually, Mayuri is leaving the movies and is now doing a job. She is currently the Managing Director in a company in Gurgaon.
