As India’s most love cricket captain MS Dhoni Stepped downed from his post on Wednesday night, tributes and farewell posts poured in on social media from all quarters. Politicians, cricketers and Bollywood celebrities wrote tributes for captain cool as soon as the news broke.
Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput who who recently portrayed Mahendra Singh Dhoni on screen, in the biopic “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story”, said that MSD was one of a kind.
“There is no one like you. You’re the reason for millions of smiles. Take a bow my Captain. @msdhoni #dhoni,” Sushant wrote on Twitter.

Other film stars, including Anupam Kher, Riteish Deshmukh, Irrfan Khan and Randeep Hooda also took to the social media to thank Dhoni for making India proud.

Confirming Dhoni’s decision, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Wednesday, issued a release that read, “Dhoni has informed the BCCI, that he wishes to step down as the captain of the Indian Cricket Team from the One Day Internationals and the T20 Internationals formats of the game.”
The 35-year-old cricketer, however, will remain available for selection for the upcoming ODI and T20 series against England and the same has been conveyed to the Senior Selection Committee.
