Bollywood actress Riya Sen recently hit headlines as she made a comeback with Ekta Kapoor’s new web-series ‘Ragini MMS 2.2′. Well, not only this, Riya now has another good news to share with her fans. Moon Moon Sen’s daughter Riya is getting married to her long-time boyfriend Shivam Tewari, who is a photography enthusiast.
The 36-year-old actor is set to break many hearts as she is ready to settle down very soon. But not many know that once upon a time, Riya Sen dated Bollywood hunk John Abraham. And if reports are to be believed, the Jism actor was so much in love with Riya that he actually wanted to get married to her.
According to reports, it was during late 90s that Riya first met John. Not a popular face in films, John was only modelling when the two met before the release of Riya’s Bollywood debut Style. They instantly hit it off. Reportedly, John was madly in love with Riya and wanted to settle down with her.
But Sen rejected his offer for her Bollywood career, which ironically never took off. She was in no mood to give up on her so-called promising career and turned down John’s marriage proposal. Soon, the two parted ways.

Riya Sen comes from a family of actors including her grandmother Suchitra Sen, mother Moon Moon Sen and sister Raima Sen. Though she began her acting career in 1991 as a child actress in Vishkanya, Riya was first recognised as a model when she performed in Falguni Pathak’s 1998 music video Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi at the age of sixteen.
Riya’s first commercial success in her film career was with 2001 released film Style. Some of her other notable films include Jhankaar Beats (2003), Shaadi No. 1 (2005) and Malayalam horror film Ananthabhadram (2005).
Riya has also made several films in Bengali like Mone Pore Tomake, Abohoman, Noukadubi (in which she co-starred with Raima) and Jaatishwar. She was last seen in short film Lonely Girl – A Psychological Thriller.
She’s currently busy filming Ekta Kapoor’s web-series, which is produced by her ALTBalaji wing.
