Popular TV actor Anas Rashid best remembered for his role as Sooraj Rathi from the superhit Star Plus show, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ got married to fiancée Heena Iqbal in a traditional Muslim function held in his hometown of Malerkotla in Punjab on Saturday.
Anas wore a white sherwani while Heena wore a pink, green and blue heavily brocaded sharara with a pink veil. She wore all the adornments of a Muslim bride like the Pasha studded with stones. It also had a Punjabi flavour as she wore the red bangles with the kaliras that is a must.
Heena is an HR professional from Chandigarh and will move to Mumbai with Anas. She is 14 years younger to him.

The actor married Heena as per traditional Muslim rituals.
Heena’s family moved to Chandigarh where she was working in immigration sector. The wedding was a family affair with friends and locals attending it. The family organised a reception on Sunday night.

Both the bride and groom looked blissfully happy in the pictures.
Talking to Bollywood Life, he said,”I asked Heena if she knew my age. She said I know my age, I am ready to get married to you. I am 24. She asked me if I was ready to marry her? Heena said the age gap does not matter to her. Her sister told me that I look 26.”
Anas had even shared a few pictures from pre-wedding ceremonies on his Instagram page recently.
When asked why he opted for an arranged marriage, Anas replied “I had complete faith on my parents’ choice. Also, I felt that I was ready to take on the responsibilities associated with an arranged marriage.”
The actor has left it up to Henna to decide their honeymoon location. He told The Times Of India, “We haven’t planned anything yet. Heena knows more about this than me and I trust her choice. She knows my taste and we will zero in on a destination keeping both our choices in mind.”
