TV Actress Faced Molestation And Attempt To Rape

27-year-old small-time television actress filed a complaint against two men for molestation and attempt to rape. The actress who lives in Goregaon said that she knows both men and they mesbehaved with her because she turn down the marriage proposal of a man.

According to police, the actress is a resident of Patna and came to Mumbai few years ago to pursue her career in film industry and lives in a rented house in Goregaon.

After working in some advertisements and serials, in 2014 the actress purchased some furniture for her house and a Ford car worth Rs 13 lakh.

From 2015, the actress is facing financial trouble due to lack of work and assignments. She also kicked out from her rented house and she was forced to sleep on railway platforms.

It has been reported that, later the actress came in contact with accused Rakesh Shetty and Jayesh Bhandari through a common friend at hotel in Dahisar. She told her problem to them. In March, the actress went to Bhopal for shooting. And, she placed her furniture and car at Rakesh Shetty’s Borivali godown. However, she has no place to stay, so she stayed at her friends home for two months. After, which Rakesh led home to the actress in the same building where he lives as a tenant.

In FIR, the actress said “On 3rd June, when she was alone at home then Rakesh came and molest her. And, somehow she managed to lock herself in a bedroom. After which Rakesh started to abuse her and said to get out of there.”

“A week later, another accused Jayesh Bhandari came to her and proposed to marry her. As soon as she refused, he became angry and tore her clothes and began to molest her. But as soon as she shouted for help, so he got afraid and started abuse to her and goes from there.” reports added.

The actress did not tell about it to anyone. But the NGO advised her that she should go to the police and took action against such people.

The case have registered under sections 354, 504, 506 and 34. Police is investigating the case.
