Kumar’s scene came to light after an anonymous blogger, who claimed to be a former TVF staff alleged him of misconduct on the medium.

The blogger mentioned that Kumar had misbehaved with her on several occasions but the post was deleted later on. The post had triggered similar claims from several other women out of which two had been to the police to file complaints against the TVF CEO.

Firstpost had reported on April 17 that Arunabh Kumar received an anticipatory bail from the Dindoshi Sessions Court. The report also mentioned that the police had summoned Kumar at least eight times for interrogation.

Later on April 22, Mumbai Mirror reported that Anurag visited the police for interrogation. After that he was arrested and was released on bail immediately by paying Rs 10,000. The daily quoted DCP Vinayak Deshmukh of Zone X saying that. “He was arrested and let out on bail. Investigations are on. We will be filing the chargesheet soon.” Also the creative director of TVF, Nidhi Bisht, sent out a letter to the 200 employees of the organisation condemning all the allegations made against Arunabh Kumar.

The letter stated that the harassment claim was originated from a fake and anonymous source. She wrote, “Did anyone bother to ask us, the real women at TVF, what we believe, having breathed the (company’s) culture day in and day out?”

Kumar also rubbished all these allegations and he issued a statement to the police after receiving an anticipatory bill. He claims that someone is conspiring against him and these harassment claims were just fake.  Kumar said, “I have strong feeling that someone is trying to hamper my business by doing all of this.”
