In 2013, Lopamudra won the title of Miss Nagpur and in the same year, she participated in Ponds Femina Miss India which was held in Goa. She became the second runner up of the contest.
In 2016, she was selected by Femina organizers to compete in Miss United Continents pageant. She was crowned as second runner-up which took place on 25 September 2016, in Ecuador.

Lopamudra Raut is the daughter of Jeevan Raut and Ragini Raut. Her father was an accounts officer with MSEDCL and mother is a technical officer in Agriculture department.
Lopamudra has an elder sister Bhagyashree Shambharkar who is married to a Nagpur corporator.
