Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has a huge fan following. Now, the actor is paying the price for being a heartthrob. Lately, Varun Dhawan has been receiving messages from a lady fan of his through Whatsapp on his personal number.
When they did not stop coming, he decided to block the number. That was the end of it, or so he thought. But his stalker was not willing to give up so easily.
Few days after blocking his fan’s number, Varun received a call from another unknown number stating that if does not respond to her messages over Whatsapp, his fan would commit suicide.

Disturbed by the suicide threat, Varun Dhawan went to Juhu police station, where he was directed to Santacruz as his residence belongs there. The Santacruz police then filed a non-cognizable offence complaint under IPC section 506, which is punishment for criminal intimidation.
“We have received a complaint from Varun Dhawan and are in the process of finding out details about the person who had called him. The number has been switched off ever since the call was made,” an officer from the Santacruz police station told the publication.
Well, this is not the first time when the actor has encountered an adamant lady fan. A few months ago reports had surfaced that a teen girl had run away from her home in Raipur to meet the actor. Thankfully, she was found by the police at a railway station in Mumbai.
On the work front, Varun will next be seen in Shoojit Sircar’s ‘October’.
