Indian film director David Dhawan’s 65th birthday became twice as happy after his son Varun Dhawan launched the poster of his father’s 43rd film ‘Judwaa 2′ on social media.

The film is a remake of 1997’s hit film ‘Judwaa’ starring Salman Khan. The action comedy film directed David Dhawan, starring Salman Khan in a double role opposite Karisma Kapoor and Rambha. Released on 7 February 1997, the film was successful at the box office.

The film ‘Judwaa 2′ which also marks the debut of this father-son jodi in b-town. Varun will be seen in a double role of Prem and Raja. While one is seen in a quirky and uber cool the other is seen in all geeky avatar.

While sharing the poster on social media Varun captioned it saying, “On #Daviddhawan’s 65th bday here is his 43rd film #Judwaa2. RAJA and PREM Double fun this Dussehra! @foxstarhindi @NGEMovies”.

The film’s premise seems to be based around London. The poster also signifies that with the twins coming out of a cab (oops taxi) which is adorned with the British flag skin.

The poster shows two Varuns, donning the ‘shareef’ and ‘tapori’ avatars, respectively. It has left us wanting more. While Taapsee and Jacqueline are missing from the poster, we are more than excited to see the three get together on screen this September.

The trailer of ‘Judwaa 2’ will be out in few days, August 21. Apparently it’s going to be a grand event for which the film’s lead star cast and also director David Dhawan will be present. David has been the flag bearer of romantic-comedy movies in the 1990s with a string of successful films with Govinda and Salman Khan. Some of his iconic films include ‘Biwi No 1′, ‘Hero No 1’, ‘Coolie No 1’, ‘Raja Babu’ and ‘Partner’ to name a few.

Salman Khan, who played the double role in the original film, has a cameo in Varun’s version. The makers have also retained (with some changes) two popular tracks from the 1997 film – Tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Tara and Oonchi Hai Building.

Presented by Fox Star Studios and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, ‘Judwaa 2’ also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu. It is slated to hit theatres on 29 September.
