Story of the movie: Rumi (Taapsee Pannu)a free-spirited, vivacious young woman and Vicky (Vicky Kaushal), a young man waiting for his music break are in love and they can’t stay out of the bedroom. When they’re caught red-handed by Rumi’s family, pressure builds up to get married. But Vicky has cold feet and keeps avoiding Rumi’s request to bring his parents over and ask her hand in marriage. Eventually, she gives up on him and agrees to an arranged marriage. That’s when Robbie (Abhishek Bachchan), a banker, enters the proverbial love triangle. What happens next, forms the crux of the story.
Star Performance: Taapsee Pannu has delivered a brilliant performance in the film. While, Vicky Kaushal has also done his work brilliantly. Abhishek’s character is mature, full of dignity and manners. A character not everyone can pull-off, but Abhishek knows his work too well to not have done it with prowess.
Music Direction: The film’s music is good. Songs like Dhayaan Chand and Daryaa are already hit among the audience.
Direction: The film’s direction is good. Anurag Kashyap’s direction will make you cry and enlightened at the same time. While, the story of the film could be even better.
