If reports are to be believed, the said victim accusing Vikas Bahl of sexually assaulting her three years back during the pre-release promotional tour of their movie, Bombay Velvet.

Recently, Anurag Kashyap took to Twitter and release the statement and apologised to the girl and he says that he feels sorry for not handling matter properly.

The notice also says that Kashyap and Motwane acted without verifying the facts to paint Bahl as the villain. “You are neither a witness nor the alleged victim, but instead an opportunist seeking to derive benefit based on unsubstantiated information. The alleged incident has not been established in any court of law and that you have exploited the media to propagate your own personal vendetta,” reads the document.

Bahl has alleged that owing to creative differences, Vikas along with Kashyap and Motwane had anyways been talking about the dissolution of Phantom Films for the past few months. “However, putting [the blame of the production house shutting down] solely on Bahl is in bad taste,” the notice says.

Meanwhile, Anurag Kashyap has stepped down as the board member of MAMI. On Wednesday morning, the filmmaker tweeted, “In the light of the current events, I have decided to step back from my duties as a board member from MAMI until the shadow of doubt of our alleged complicitness in silence and not doing anything about it, is cleared.”
