Virat Kohli refuses to shoot an ad with Deepika Padukone, costs RCB Rs 11 crore

Indian Cricket Team and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has become a major brand in the country due to his excellent performance in IPL. That’s why he became a brand ambassador of many products.

Meanwhile, there have been news doing the rounds that Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were in talks of a sponsorship deal worth Rs 11 crore with Goibibo.com. However, the deal soon fell off as RCB failed to meet the requirements of India’s fastest growing website.

It is learnt that the decision was taken after RCB and India skipper Virat Kohli turned down shooting a commercial opposite Deepika Padukone. And since RCB could not provide Kohli for the commitment, Goibibo cancelled the deal.

Not that Virat Kohli had any personal issues with the heroine but his RCB contract had a clause which stated he couldn’t share commercial space with other celebrties.

The reports states, “The RCB captain, in general, is not opposed to working with other celebrities professionally. However, in the present case, the demand was ‘beyond the terms of his IPL contract’.

On the other hand, a close RCB source said Kohli had nothing to do with RCB’s cancellation of the deal, “There is no such thing. We have got a better offer. So we have decided to go with that.”
