After The Accidental Prime Minister, the biopic on former PM Manmohan Singh, now we are also hearing reports of a biopic on the current Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
And to play Modi’s role, the makers has roped in bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi. the reports also suggests that Omung Kumar, who has previously directed Mary Kom and Sarbjit, also biopics, is now keen on exploring the story.
Vivek Oberoi to play PM Narendra Modi
Taran Adarsh confirmed the news about Vivek Oberoi essaying the role of Narendra Modi. The noted film critic tweeted, “IT’S OFFICIAL… Vivekanand Oberoi [Vivek Oberoi] to star in Narendra Modi biopic, titled #PMNarendraModi… Directed by Omung Kumar… Produced by Sandip Ssingh… First look poster will be launched on 7 Jan 2019… Filming starts mid-Jan 2019.”

“From running a tea stall to working in the staff canteen of Gujarat Road Transport Corporation, taking a plunge into politics, becoming Gujarat’s chief minister and then the prime minister, the film tells the story of his rags to riches. It goes on floors around mid-January 2019 and is planned to be shot extensively in Gujarat,” a movie portal quoted a source as saying.
The biopic based on PM Modi’s life has been titled as ‘PM Narendra Modi’ and the shooting will kickstart this month. The first look poster of the ambitious venture will be unveiled on January 7, 2019.
