WATCH: Farhan Akhtar’s first look from ‘Lucknow Central’ is out!

Farhan Akhtar’s first look from his upcoming film Lucknow Central is out. The actor is going to play the character of Kishan Mohan Girhotra, who is heading to jail.

A simple man from Moradabad, Kishen Mohan Girotra had a dream of making it big as a singer, but as fate turns out, he is convicted of an alleged high-profile murder and is sent to one of the most dreaded jails -Lucknow Central.

Farhan took to Twitter to share the look. The actor wrote, “Ye hai Kishan Mohan Girhotra .. jail mein isse १८२१ bulaate hain. #LucknowCentral #firstlook #15september2017”.

 While the first look of the film has raised many questions about why Farhan’s character goes to jail, what is the story of Lucknow Central.

Set against the backdrop of a jail, Lucknow Central features Farhan as a prisoner who forms a band along with other jail inmates.

“It’s a strong, emotional and dramatic film about jail escape. It is also about dreams and aspirations, innocence and guilt. There is a lot of hope and it will make one believe in the human spirit. Farhan has given a great performance in the film,” the producer said.

Popular Bhojpuri actor, Ravi Kishan will also be seen in the film. The actor has already shot his cameo. The film is already creating buzz for its mammoth jail set in Film City and its shoot is happening in full swing.

‘Lucknow Central’ features Diana Penty, Gippy Grewal, Deepak Dobriyal, Ronit Roy and Rajesh Sharma in pivotal roles.

Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Emmay Entertainment and Motion Pictures, the film is directed by Ranjit Tiwari and is slated to release on 15th September 2017.
