The teaser poster of Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming film “Behen Hogi Teri” has been unveiled, which shows the actor  has given a modern twist to Lord Shiva’s avatar.

The actor can be seen painted in the quintessential blue colour like the God and sitting in a pensive mood on a bronze-coloured motorcycle wearing slippers.

Amul Vikas Mohan, the film’s producer, shared the poster on Twitter and captioned it: “The teaser poster for ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ is here… Trailer out soon… Rajkummar Rao, Shruti Haasan, Gautam Gulati.”

Talking about Behen Hogi Teri, Rajkummar, in an interview, said, “This is probably my first solo lead rom-com. But, just because it belongs to that genre, doesn’t mean the efforts are not there. It is not that I am doing anything less. There are preparations, training, I am emotionally as involved as I am for any other film. “But yes, ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ is not a typical Bollywood potboiler, or romantic-comedy. It is a very relatable, human film with lot of interesting moments.”

He has shot for the film in Lucknow and he said, “Lucknow is the flavour of the season. A lot of the films are being shot here. Our film is a slice of life fun movie with real characters set up in Lucknow. There is a whole Jaagran community here, which not many apart from North Indians might be aware of. My character, Gattu, plays Shiva in one of the jaagran mandlis, which is owned by Shruti’s character and he is in love with her.”
He explained about his character in detail. He said, “My character is madly in love with her, but since he is from the same ‘mohalla’, they are neighbours, everybody thinks that ‘mohalley kay log bhai-behen he hai, ye toh ghar ki baat hai’. But how, in his heart and mind, he knows she can’t be his sister. That’s how the title comes.”

Earlier, the makers had released a parody of Sidharth Malhotra- Katrina Kaif song Kala Chashma as a teaser.

Rajkummar Rao was last seen in Trapped, where he played a man who is trapped in his own house at a high-rise building with no escape. While on the other hand, fillm’s lead actress Shruti Haasan last film was ‘Katamarayudu’ opposite Pawan Kalyan, which is doing great business at the Box Office.

‘Behen Hogi Teri’ is slated to release on 26 May.
