Popular Assamese singer Zubeen Garg who is known for singing Ya Ali in Gangster has landed himself in a legal trouble.

A case has been registered against the Assamese singer for allegedly abusing the Bharat Ratna Award which is India’s highest civilian honour.

 It was recently conferred upon Assamese singer, Bhupen Hazarika, posthumously. He was awarded for his excellent contribution to music.

Zubeen Garg in legal trouble

Amid this, an audio clip has surfaced on the social media which has singer Zubeen Garg abusing the Bharat Ratna. The audio clip has hurt the sentiments of people, following which an FIR has been lodged against Zubeen Garg by Satya Ranjan Borah, a BJP functionary in Assam.

The Hojai SP, Ankur Jain, quoted to HT, “We have registered an FIR and investigating the short audio clip said to be in Garg’s voice. In the viral clip, the Bharat Ratna has been abused.”
