No matter how modern we become, a child out of wedlock will always be considered illegitimate in our country. Women are still not fine with the idea of getting pregnant before marriage because of the double standards that prevail in our society. Maybe that’s why many Bollywood actresses got married in a hurry to cover their pre-marital pregnancy. There are also few who didn’t care about the society and never shied away from their pregnancy. Take a look at Bollywood divas who got pregnant before marriage.

1. Gabriella Demetriades 

Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal who has been dating Gabriella Demetriades for a while now has recently welcomes their first child, a baby boy on July 18. Arjun & Gabriella, who are not yet married, announced the pregnancy news in April this year. He wrote, “Blessed to have you and start all over again….thank you baby for this baby”.

2. Amy Jackson

Amy got engaged to George Panayiotou, a British businessman, and announced her engagement on January 1, 2019. Now before the actress got hitched to the man of her dream, Amy announced that she is pregnant with her first child. The actress announced her pregnancy via her Instagram handle in March 2019. The couple is yet to announce their wedding.

3. Bruna Abdullah

I Hate Luv Storys actress Bruna Abdullah is expecting her first child with husband Allan Fraser. The actress who is eight months pregnant has recently revealed that she got secretly married to Allan in May this year. This means that the actress got pregnant before marriage.

4. Lisa Haydon

In October 2016, Lisa Haydon tied knot with Dino Lilwani and gave birth to a child on May 2017. This clearly suggests that she was pregnant before marriage.

5. Konkona Sen Sharma 

Actress Konkona Sensharma was dating her ‘Aaja Nachle’ co-star Ranveer Shorey. Konkona conceived before marrying him. After the birth of their son, Harun, they tied the knot in a private ceremony. Ranveer and Konkana are not together now.

6. Neha Dhupia

Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi tied the knot back in May and there were rumours doing the rounds that the couple married because Neha Dhupia was pregnant. However, later on a chat show, the couple came out in open and confirmed that Neha was pregnant before their wedding.

7. Celina Jaitly

Celina Jaitly got pregnant before her marriage to Australian businessman & Hotelier, Peter Haag in 2011. Though the actress denied her pregnancy reports, she eventually delivered twins after 7 months of marriage.

8. Sridevi

Sridevi was the only actress in tinsel town who publicly accepted that she got pregnant before marriage. She had an affair with Boney Kapoor and got pregnant with their first child, Jhanvi, before their marriage. The two got married after Boney Kapoor got a divorce from his first wife. As per the reports, Sridevi was seven months pregnant at the time of their wedding.

9. Mahima Chaudhary

Mahima Chaudhary married Bobby Mukherjee in a much private wedding ceremony in the year 2006. Reports say that she was pregnant at that time. Her baby announcement too came as quick as her marriage announcement. She soon gave birth to a baby girl Ariana. Now, the actress has split with her husband and has the custody of her daughter. 

10. Amrita Arora

The glamorous actress, Amrita Arora, married boyfriend, Shakeel Ladak on 4 March 2009, and soon after the wedding, her pregnancy news made the things pretty obvious for all. Later it was found that the reason for an immediate marriage was to be pregnant before their marriage. After a few months of marriage, Amrita Arora gave birth to her son on 5 February 2010.

11. Sarika

Sarika was Kamal Hasan’s second wife whom he dated while being married to his first wife. He later got a divorce from her to be with Sarika. Sarika got pregnant with her first child Shruti Hasan when they were dating and living together. Sarika and Kamal Hasan married much later and later gave birth to their second daughter Akshara.

12. Neena Gupta

Neena was in a relationship with the cricketer, Vivian Richards, which got her pregnant in no time. They never got married as he chose to remain married with his first wife. And, Neena raised her daughter, Masaba, as a single parent.
