Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor who was shooting for his upcoming film Jersey in Chandigarh has got injured on the sets. The actor has to undergo 13 stitches.

According to a sources, “Shahid was playing perfectly fine and rehearsing before the shot, when the ball unexpectedly came and hit him on the lower lip and cut open a wide gash where blood started gushing out. He was immediately taken for treatment and a doctor was rushed to see him. To close the wound, stitches were sutured by the doctor.”

Well now, the actor recently returned to the city alongwith his wife Mira Rajput.

Surprisingly, Shahid was seen hiding his injury mark with a mask as he was snapped arriving at the Mumbai airport.

The actor was dressed casually in a hoodie, with a jacket over it, teamed with cargo pants. While Mira Rajput walked next to him at the Mumbai airport.

Post getting injured, Shahid Kapoor also took to his Twitter handle, reassuring his fans that he is recovering quickly. He tweeted, “Thank you for all the concern. Yes I have got a few stitches but am recovering fast. #jersey has taken a little bit of my blood but a script this good deserves that in the least. Have a good one you all. Keep it real. Make it count. Spread the love. Humanity above all.”

“Jersey” is a Hindi remake of the Telugu hit of the same name. The Hindi version will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who also helmed the original movie. The story is about a talented but failed cricketer named Arjun, who decides to make a comeback in his late thirties and play for India, in order to fulfil his son’s wish.
