Famous cricketer and former captain of Pakistan Shoaib Malik got married to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza in April 2010. Their wedding was one of the most publicized and controversial weddings in sports history. There was much drama ahead of the wedding. Reports emerged that Malik was already married to another Hyderabad girl, Ayesha Siddiqui. However, Malik denied the allegations but eventually confirmed the marriage when the girl’s family released marriage certificate as a proof.
Malik and Sania have since weathered the storm, and are happily married even now.
2. Muttiah Muralitharan and Madhimalar Ramamurthy
Sri Lankan cricketing legend and international cricket’s leading wicket-taker, Muttiah Muralitharan got married to Chennai girl Madhimalar on March 21, 2005. Madhimalar happens to be the daughter of Nithya and S. Ramamurthy, the owners of Malar hospitals. The couple have a son, born in 2006.

3. Mohsin Khan And Reena Roy
Mohsin Khan, the handsome Pakistani opener, fell in love with bollywood actress Reena Roy and married her. Mohsin himself went on to act in as many as 13 Bollywood films. The two also have a lovely daughter but unfortunately their marriage did not last long and ended in divorce.
4. Shaun Tait And Mashoom Singha
After almost dating for four years, Australian pacer Shaun Tait got married to Indian model Mashoom in 2014. The wedding celebrations were spread across a week as Tait’s friends came over from Australia to Mumbai, where the wedding happened. Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan were among attendees. Mashoom and Tait will shuttle between Mumbai and Adelaide for now.
