In a recent interview with Anupama Chopra, Saif spoke about how History was misrepresented in his film ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’

The actor said, “I don’t think this is history. I don’t think there was a concept of India till the British gave it one.” He also added that the ‘concept of India’ was given by the Britishers and it didn’t exist earlier.

This comment of the actor has left the internet in a frenzy and the actor received a lot of backlash over it.

Now, Kangana Ranaut slammed Saif Ali Khan and asked him if there was no concept of India, how Mahabharat had been existing.

In an interview with ZeeNews, Kangana said, “If there was no Bharat then what was Mahabharat? Some people have just created these narratives that suit them. Sri Krishna was in Mahabharat. So there was a Bharat, that’s why it was mahaan (great). All the kings of India came together to fight that war. You see even Europe has these small nations. But these had a collective identity, that’s why Sri Krishna went to all these places with Pandavas and the Kauravas, to ask them who will be a part of the war.”

The video of this interview was shared by Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel on her Twitter page. Rangoli Chandel captioned it, “Kangana asking Saif Ali Khan a very important question … over to you Saif … 🙏”.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana is prepping up for the release of her upcoming film Panga. The movie will hit the silver screens on 24 January.
