Kalank director Abhishek Varman is currently going through a tough phase of his life as he lost his father R Verman recently.
R Verman, a renowned art director had been unwell for quite some time, for which he was recently admitted to a suburban hospital where he breathed his last after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 72.
According to Mumbai Mirror, Verman died yesterday around 12:30 am in a suburban hospital.
Abhishek Varman’s father R Verman passes away
The last rites of the veteran were performed by son and filmmaker Abhishek Varman at the Oshiwara crematorium. The family was visited by noted personalities like Karan Johar, and actors Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, and directors Shashank Khaitan and Anurag Singh, who all went to offer their condolences.

R Verman also is known as Ratna Verman Shetty took interest in art direction and assisted well-known art director Sudhendhu Roy. He worked in over 350 films including Betaab, Khiladi, Khoon Bhari Maang, Karan Arjun, Andaz Apna Apna, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Aitraaz among many others.
