Shweta Basu Prasad, who is all currently seen in Ekta Kapoor’s historical saga Chandra Nandini, is in love. The actress has been dating filmmaker Rohit Mittal for quite some time and confirmed being in love with him last year.
The couple quite vocal about their relationship and often shares pictures of each other on their social media accounts.
Talking about her relationship Shweta said “Yes, we are dating and it’s been almost two years. We are in a happy space and enjoying our relationship. We haven’t thought about marriage but yes it’s going smooth. I met Rohit at Phantom Films and that’s how it all started.”
Shweta, who met the love of her life at Phantom Films, had earlier said, “I worked with Phantom films as a script consultant for year and a half. I did contemplate if I should get back to acting or not because I was really enjoying my work behind the camera.”
Shweta met filmmaker, Rohit Mittal, at Phantom films and the two hit it off instantly. Ever since their first meeting, there has been no looking back.
Through their pictures on Instagram, it is evident that the couple loves to take off to different places for a vacation. Their account is also full of selfies taken on such outings.

While Shweta admitted to being in love, she had also clarified that she isn’t keen on getting married anytime soon. In fact, the actress is quite busy with her TV show on Chandra Nandini, where she plays princess Nandini opposite Rajat Tokas as Chandragupta Maurya.
Shweta has started her acting career with television serials. At the age of 11, she made her film debut with Makdee which was released in 2002. She even received the National Film Award for her amazing performance as a Best Child Artist.
After winning two National Awards for her performance in films like ‘Makdee’ and ‘Iqbal’, Shweta went missing from the entertainment industry. The actress chose to stay away from the limelight and focused on studies.
Shweta was last seen on the big screen in Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt’s ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’.
