After 15 weeks of non-stop entertainment and dance, “Dance Plus Season 3″ will finally come to an end. The show that witnessed best of dance champions from all around the world got its winner in Bir Radha Sherpa.
The 18 yr old Assam dancer Bir Radha Sherp, the contestant from Assam, who was part of the team captained by Punit Pathak, announced the winner on the show which airs its finale yesterday. The young boy, who impressed masses and judges with his stupendous acts that’s a mix of b-boying and contemporary.
A member of Punit Pathak’s group, Bir was awarded the Dance Icon title by break dance champ Prabhudheva, who was the special guest in the finale week. The winner took home Rs 25 lakh and a brand new Hyundai I Elite i20, an Oppo phone, Amazon voucher worth 1-lakh rupees and a Suzuki Gigsar SFFi bike.
Amardeep Singh Natt, who was mentored by Dharmesh Yelande became the second runner up while the duo Tarun and Shivani, who were also part of Team Dharmesh, turned out to be the third runner up.

This is how Bir Radha Sherpa thanked fans and followers for all the love and support. “Thank you so much my all fans and my all lovers and thanks alot @remodsouza @punitjpathak @vabs_perfectentertainer love you and my all supporters thanks a lot to support me apke support se today I’m winner dance plus session 3 thank you all m apko kitna bhi thank you bolu kam h so guys I’m complete my mother dream I’m very very very happy feel this time so ap sab KO mera dil se thank you (sic).”
Talking exclusively to indianexpress.com, he shared, “The journey has been a really special one. All through the show I wanted to be in the finale and here I was declared as the winner. More than for me, I wanted to win the show for Punit Sir. He worked so much on me and this title is my dedication to him. Mujhse zyada unhone mehnat ki thi (he worked harder than me). I feel blessed to have won the show among so many talented contestants. I am so thankful to all the people who showered me with love and votes.”
Bir, who is from Silchar, Assam added that he feels lucky to have got such a big platform to showcase his skills. “Coming from a small town where dance as a career is not heard of, I feel fortunate to have been part of such a grand show.” Rather than moving ahead and turning into a choreographer, the 18-year-old has his plans set. “I want to learn as much as I can. There is a long way to go. I want to train myself hard and represent India on international platforms. I want to show the world that it doesn’t matter where you come from, talent and hard work will always show you the way.”
The talented dancer is not new to competitive stage as he had earlier participated in DID Li’L Masters. “That was a completely different experience. Unfortunately, I hadn’t been able to go ahead in the show as I fractured my hand. Guess God had a different plan for me. He wanted me to win Dance Plus 3 and become the Dance Icon,” he shared with a broad smile.
Lastly, when we asked him about his dream dancing partner, a shy Bir replied, “I haven’t thought about it yet but I would love to perform on stage with Dytto.”
Shakti Mohan, Dharmesh and Punit Pathak were the mentors on this season of the show, while choreographer Remo D’Souza was the super judge and Raghav Juyal was the host.
