Team India’s cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Reeva was allegedly assaulted on Monday by a police constable following a minor accident involving her car in Gujarat’s Jamnagar city, police said.
According to reports, Riva met with an accident, when her car hit the bike of the cop. The policeman allegedly got down from the bike and physically assaulted Jadeja’s wife.
An eyewitness said the policeman thrashed Reeva Jadeja “brutally”. “The policeman mercilessly thrashed Reeva and even pulled her hair during an altercation. We saved her from his clutches,” Vijaysinh Chavda told reporters.[ecp code=”4″]

The police constable was identified as Sanjay Ahir, and was arrested after Riva filed a complaint against him at a local police station.
Jadeja is currently playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as a Chennai Super Kings all-rounder.
