Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is currently shooting for her upcoming film Chhapaak in Delhi alongside Vikrant Massey. The actress will be seen playing the role of Malti – an acid attack survivor in the film.
Recently, we came across a video of Deepika and Vikrant as they shoot in the busy streets of New Delhi.

For those unaware, Vikrant is playing Laxmi’s partner Alok Dixit who is a social activist.

Not to mention, Vikrant has grown a heavier beard and has also put on weight for the role.
The film is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, who was attacked at the tender age of 15, by a 32-year-old man, who had one-sided attraction towards her. She now runs an NGO that works for the acid attack survivors and is also a proud owner of a cafe which is managed by these survivors.

The film is jointly being produced by Fox Star Studios, Deepika Padukone’s own KA Entertainment and Meghna Gulzar’s Mriga Films.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film will release on January 10, 2020.
