The Navratri festival is here and people all across India have geared up for the celebrations. The nine-day festival, commemorating triumph of good over evil begins on September 21 and ends on September 29, followed by Dussehra on September 30.
Navratri is celebrated all over the country albeit in different ways. However one of the most common ways of celebrating the festival, predominantly in the western states of Gujarat and Maharashtra, is in the form of Garba and dandiya.
Garba enthuiasts across the country are swinging to traditional dandiya tunes as well as Bollywood dance numbers. As the Navratri fervour already stars we brings you a list of singers and their approximate fee.
Falguni Pathak considered as one of the most demandable Indian female singer. She has also recorded numerous songs for Bollywood movies. The theme of most of her songs is love. In August 2013, it was reported that she would allegedly make Rs 2 crore during the year’s Navratri festivities. In 2014 she payed Rs. 1.5 crore. 2. Preeti & Pinky
Indipop duo Preeti-Pinky have been performing continuously for 18 years in Borivli now. They are always focused on folk and tribal singing. There shows are booked months in advance. 3. Bhoomi Trivedi
After Falguni Pathak if any singer is most demanding so she is Bhoomi Trivedi. Bhoomi who has sung Ram Chahe Leela from bollywood hindi movie “Ram-Leela” is performing in Mumbai and Ahmedabad for Navratri Garba. This time she taking fees of Rs. 50 to 60 Lakh. 4. Ismail Darbar
A popular face of garba event, Ismail Darbar is from Surat and this year too he is performing in Gujarat. They were most popular in Garba but since the launch of some new singers has reduced his popularity. Once upon a time he charge Rs. 80 lakh.
5. Parthiv Gohil and Lalitya Munshaw
Parthiv and Lalitya, are much demanded in Surat. There year too they are performing in Surat. Their garba songs are most popular here. They charge Rs. 45 lakh for performance. Parthiv is a playback singer for Indian films like Devdas, Saawariya, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster, Kissan and many others. This year Parthiv will perform in Nesco Center, Mumbai.
6. Soli Kapadia and Nisha Upadhyaya
Soft music singer Nisha Upadhyay Soli Kapadia are the main highlight of Garba in Vadodara. Rather than loud music their light music based garba are liked by performers. The couple takes charge around 40 lakh.
