Filmmaker Karan Johar who recently became a proud father of twins Yash and Roohi via surrogacy, took his kids home. The twins were born two months premature and were kept under close observation in the hospital, but now they are at home.
Karan Johar, who had promised to share his journey in parenthood with his fans and friends shared pictures of his baby nursery which is designed by Gauri Khan.
The filmmaker took to Instagram and captioned the image as “@gaurikhan designs my baby nursery with so much love and care!! Love you gauri! It’s the most beautiful space….”
He shared one more picture and wrote “The detailing of the baby nursery….designed with love and care by @gaurikhan”
The twins were born on February 7 and went home after a stay of over 50 days in the NICU as they were born premature. Gauri went to visit Karan and his bundles of joy on Thursday. Earlier, we saw Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra who met the twins on Wednesday at home.
Karan recently took to his social media handle to post an emotional message, to create awareness around the care that has to be given to premature babies.
He wrote that he was terrified to know that there were complication during the birth of his twins and his heart sank.
He said, “Knowing that there were complications with my babies’ birth owing to how soon it was, I was terrified. All I wanted to do was hold them and protect them but they needed to be in the NICU. It was painful to see how tiny they were… Thankfully, I had a great support system. Roohi and Yash were in the hands of the most competent and patient doctors. Something that had its roots in an ordeal, soon turned into an experience that I will never forget.”
