Prabhakar was born in Hasnabad, mahbubnagar (now vikarabad),Telangana, India in 1981. Prabhakar never wants to work in the films. He wants to become a cricketer and the idea to become an actor came very later in his life.

He came to Hyderabad for attending a wedding ceremony subsequent to completing intermediate. His relatives got impressed with his physique and assured him of getting employed in railway police. He waited for 6 long yrs for the job but all in vain.

During his struggling period, he got to hear that Rajamouli had been hunting for talent for “Magadheera”. He also went for audition where Rajamouli observed Prabhakar but didn’t utter any word. After some time, he was taken to Rajasthan where the shooting of “Magadheera” was going on and it was there that the “Baahubali” director noticed him.
