Even, all is not well between John Abraham and KriArj Entertainment, the co-producers of his film, John released the first teaser of his upcoming film, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran.
The minute-long teaser starts off with a montage of some of India’s biggest achievement throughout its history, from its independence in 1947 to win the Cricket World Cup in 1983. The narrator (Boman Irani) reminds the audience that there’s a particular chapter in our glorious history that remains unsung till date: the 1998 nuclear bomb tests conducted by the Indian Army in Pokhran Rajasthan.
We finally see John in a hefty military avatar as he enters the film and directs the future of India toward a nuclear state.
The film revolves around the successful nuclear tests conducted in Pokhran, Rajasthan in 1998. It has been shot at multiple locations including Delhi, Jaisalmer and Pokhran and also stars Diana Penty and Boman Irani in key roles.
The film was originally slated to release on December 8 last year. However, the release was then deferred to February, only to be pushed further to March 2. Since Prernaa Arora’s [of KriArj Entertainment] co-production Pari was releasing on the same day.
Now, amidst the fallout between its makers, Parmanu is slated to release on May 4.
