In a unique style, Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut unveiled the poster of her upcoming film – “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi” – at Dashwamedh ghat in Varanasi.
The 30-year-old actress will bring to screen the life of Rani Laxmi Bai in Krish’s directorial. Laxmibai, whose maiden name was Manikarnika, was born in Varanasi and that’s why the makers decided to launch the official poster in the city.
Kangana and her crew arrived at the venue by a boat.
Kangana was accompanied by Manikarnika team including director Krish Jagarlamudi and music composer Shankar Mahadevan, singer Richa Sharma and lyricist Prasoon Joshi.The team visited the ghats of Varanasi and seemed cheerful.
She unveiled the 20-feet-long poster of “Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi” at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi on Thursday. Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Prasoon Joshi and Richa Sharma joined the actress for the much-anticipated launch.

She opted for a net floral sequined sari from the collection of ace designer Sabyasachi.
Directed by Krissh, the film will see Kangana playing the warrior queen, Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi in a film titled ‘Manikarnika- The Queenof Jhansi.’

She also took a dip in the holy waters of Ganga and performed the Ganga aarti. Dressed in a gold nauvari saree by ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee and a tangerine brocade blouse, Kangana performed the aarti and took dips in the river at the “Dashaswmedha Ghat”.
