Vinta accused the actor of raping her 19 years ago. Nanda was the writer and producer of teleserial ‘Tara’ in the 90s. Nath played a lead role in the soap.

“I hadn’t just been raped, I was taken to my own house and had been brutalised,” she had written in the reference to the ‘most sanskari person in the industry’.

After Vinta, Sandhya Mridul and Deepika Amin also accused Alok Nath of sexual misconduct.

The Cine And TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) have sent a notice to Nath, demanding to know why he should not be debarred after the harassment allegations.

The #MeToo movement gained momentum in India after Tanushree Dutta spoke up against Nana Patekar almost two weeks ago. Recently, a lot of such cases have come to the fore, with big names like Vikas Bahl, Kailash Kher, Rohit Roy, Rajat Kapoor being accused of harrasement by women.
