Recently, Mira got into some trouble when her comments about working moms did not go down well with some. Mira had said that she wishes to stay home with Misha and be a hands on mom instead of rushing back to work.

She had said that she wears the label of a housewife with pride and irked many working mothers by saying, “I wouldn’t want to spend one hour a day with my child and rush off to work. Why did I have her (daughter Misha)? She is not a puppy, you know. I want to be there for her as a mother.”

However, Shahid had defended his wife’s comments at the time saying that Mira did not mean to offend anyone.

Mira also commented on it saying,”I was just speaking my mind, my intention was not to offend or hurt anyone. Could I have chosen my words better? Maybe. But I am not a seasoned actor and I don’t know how to be politically correct. “

On the work front, Shahid was last seen in the movie “Rangoon” alongside Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut. The movie unfortunately did not fare well at the box office during the time. The actor ill next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film “Padmavati” along with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
