Bollywood actress Nushrat Bharucha was recently in the news her thigh-high slit dress that she wore for Filmfare Awards 2020.
This dress by Nushrat Bharucha was a deep slit dress that was open from one side. While some were all praise for the ‘Dream Girl’ actress, some slammed her for wearing such a revealing dress.
Now, during an interaction with HT Cafe, when Nushrat was asked about the infamous attire, she stated, “We have freedom of speech in our country. So, whatever anyone feels, they can put it out. But just like they’ve their opinion, what I want to wear is my right.”

She further shared how fraternity reacted to it while saying, “We’d never be able to do this, great that you could carry this off.”
The Dream Girl actor also spoke about how confident she felt by sharing, “I did it for myself. I didn’t think people are going to praise me, or it will become the talk of the town. I wore a dress, attended the function, had fun, came home. I don’t get bothered at all. I don’t read the comments. I just put it out there and leave it.”

Bharucha went on to say, “If this dress didn’t fit well or fall right, I wouldn’t be wearing it. It had nothing to do with how bold it was. If it didn’t look good on me, I would not have not worn it.” She concluded by stating, “When I put this dress on, I was comfortable in it, and that’s why I was able to carry it off. I knew what I was wearing, and I had to be careful.”
On the work front, Nushrat will next be seen in Hansal Mehta’s social black comedy, Chhalaang alongside Rajkummar Rao, which is slated to release on March 13.
