‘Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan’ completes 500 episodes

“Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman,” the popular and long-running mythological series on Sony, completed 500 episodes recently.

The unit celebrated on the sets at Naigaon on the outskirts of Mumbai by cutting a cake.

The show was launched in 2015 and receives a good response from the audience. Abhimanyu Singh, CEO, Contiloe Films, said, “As this is our first journey with the mythology genre, I am delighted by the response we have received from audiences and the special bond it has created. The show has achieved a benchmark as a unique show where we have been successful in recreating the epic and we hope to continue this good work in future as well.”

Directed by Abhimanyu Singh, the show stars Nirbhay Wadhwa as Hanuman, Gagan Malik as Ram, Deblina Chatterjee as Sita and others.

 The show follows the life of Lord Hanuman, the destroyer of obstacles, and traces his journey from childhood to when met Lord Ram and became his devout disciple. As the story progresses, Raavan is killed by Ram and Sita has to face the ‘Agnipariskha’ to prove her ‘purity.’
