Shimla Mirchi movie Review

Story of the movie:

The story of the film revolves around Avi (Rajkummar Rao) who is quite shy and is never able to propose any girl. When he bumps into Naina (Rakul Preet), he instantly falls in love with her. On the advice of his friend, Avi decides to pen his feelings and convey it to Naina.

However, the letter falls into Naina’s mother’s (Hema) hands. She falls in love with Rajkummar, thinking that he loves her back. What follows next are hilarious scenes showing how the misunderstanding affects the lives of Rajkummar Rao, Hema Malini and Rakul Preet Singh.

Star Performance:

Rajkummar Rao nails his character as a man punch drunk in love. Rakul, as the feisty small-town girl, too, plays her role to perfection. Hema Malini provides some comic relief. While, Shakti Kapoor and others were okay in their roles.

Music Direction:

The songs of the film are all forgettable.

Direction:

The film’s direction is okay. The editing is bad, the cinematography is okay. The climax of the film could be even better.
