We congratulate him over his decision and also applaud the prudent advice of his director to make things more authentic rather than just following basic scripts, concepts and virtual technologies. We wish Sushant all the success for the training and for his film and also commend his efforts in the wake of educating people back there in India through the learnings he will take back from here. We hope he will not only use this knowledge for on-screen perfection, but also be socially involved in educating people about the future of it, especially in a nation, which is an emerging powerhouse in Aeronautical Engineering and Space and Research Programmes today; a land that has produced legendary astronauts. ”

Sushant visited the NASA centre in the US in July to prepare for the space adventure to experience zero gravity. Earlier, Sushant shared his photos from the visit to the US Space & Rocket Center. Dressed in a space suit and a cap, the actor was in full astronaut mode.
The actor had stated in an interview earlier “For the first 18, 19 years of my life, I have been studying all these theories of (Isaac) Newton and (Albert) Einstein. Now for the very first time, I will go there and experience all these things that so far was only in my head. I will experience zero gravity for the first time and I will experience how does it feel to walk on the moon. All these things that I only studied or have the concept of in my head, I will explore it now, so I am really excited. The best thing about this is that NASA has been kind enough to allow me to come there and actually experience the authentic training that they are asked to do,” Sushant has said about the training for the film.
Sushant has already done a hell lot of research for the role. “I am playing an astronaut in the film and I just finished training on a simulator this week. Sanjay has given me around 15 books and eight documentaries, including For All Mankind (1989) that documents National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Apollo mission, to understand the life of astronauts,” the actor had said in an interview.
Says producer Viki Rajani, “We are very honoured and privileged to be pioneering the first of its kind film in Bollywood and that Sushant Singh Rajput is the very Indian actor to train at NASA. The director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan has worked on the script and the technical detailing for the last 7-8 years. All this together will go a long way in putting together a truly authentic space odyssey”.
