On Monday, Rajasthan High Court sends fresh notices to Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Dushyant Singh in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.

A single judge bench of Justice Manoj Garg issued the notices to the actors following an appeal by the Rajasthan government against their acquittal by a Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court on April 5 last year.

The hearing will take place after eight weeks.

Salman Khan, was convicted Under Section 9/51 of the Wildlife Protection Act. He had faced a five-year prison sentence along with a fine of Rs 10,000. However, after spending two nights in the Jodhpur Central Jail, he was granted bail.

In 1998, while shooting for the film ‘Hum Sath Sath Hain’ in Rajasthan, went on allegedly hunting along with Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Sonali Bendre and Tabu. Salman Khan is believed to have killed two blackbucks in Jodhpur’s Kankani village.

Salman was charged under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and others under Section 51 read with Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code.
